Layered Landscapes - An exhibition of Chiltern landscapes by contemporary painter - Caro Friend
I’m delighted to welcome Caro Friend to Emerald with her current exhibition, we are certainly starting the year in style!
“Layered Landscapes” is a collection of original paintings inspired by the Chiltern fields and woodlands, discovered on Caro’s walks in the area.
“Caro creates dynamic and vibrant paintings, rich with layers and texture. Her layered media technique combines an urban feel with more traditional landscapes, giving abstract paintings with a strong graphic edge.
Her use of colour brings richness and depth to the work, creating sophisticated paintings you will continue to see fresh for years to come.”
Caro’s background includes training in graphic design and illustration for her MA in London Art colleges.
Over the years she has worked as an illustrator, a costume designer, Interior designer and a portrait photographer.
Following a period of ill health, Caro begin to paint again and found it incredibly therapeutic and helpful during a difficult time.
And the rest is history - “ I never really stopped painting or creating from that point I love the journey, the process, the discovery & experimenting and hopefully getting better at painting the unseen.”
From small to large, there is a diverse selection of paintings in display, so if you have a spot on the stairs, or a large blank wall looking for a statement piece of art, Caro’s paintings may be perfect for your home.
Looking for a splash of colour?…I think you should pop in, we may have just what you need.
Take a little look at ‘Layered Landscapes’ Exhibition which is open Tuesday to Saturday until the 18th February.
